The Alchemy of Being Seen: Somatic Healing, the Reception Desk, and the "Sun Song"

Somatic healing and emotional release shown by a woman in a daisy field soaking in golden hour sunlight. This represents the "Sun Song" gentle reset practice and the opening of the throat chakra. Inspired by the Serenity Prayer and the Scorpio Moon, the image captures a spiritual growth moment of transitioning from a heavy mood into divine abundance and peace

It is March 6, and while the world marks it as Employee Appreciation Day, we are going deeper. In the quiet, dreary corners of a long week, it’s easy to feel like the "invisible" worker, the one whose light is being dimmed by a desk, a title, or an unfair system.

With the Moon in Scorpio, today is about the "unseen"—the layers of dignity beneath the uniform. When the moon moves into this deeply intuitive, watery sign, our emotional radars become highly sensitive. You might feel a sudden intolerance for surface-level small talk, a deep yearning for raw authenticity, or an intense, almost physical awareness of the hidden struggles others are carrying. Scorpio energy asks us to pull back the curtain, to feel things at a soul level, and to transform our fleeting, everyday interactions into moments of profound, honest connection.

The Ghost at the Reception Desk

I remember being so excited to start one of my first "grown-up" jobs. I was young, I was hungry to excel, and I had literally read a few hundred pages of industry documentation just to prepare—something most veterans hadn't even touched. I was ready to change the world. Instead, I was essentially demoted to the reception desk without a word.

I sat there, answering phones, while the partners took my research, made their ridiculously high commissions, and never gave me an ounce of credit. I was hustling side jobs just to pay my college loans, feeling my light flicker under the weight of their garbage treatment.

If I could go back to that younger version of myself, I would offer her the ultimate Gentle Reset. I would tell her:

"Someday, you will be the boss. The people who abused your kindness, and treated you like a ghost, will eat crow. Do not let them dim your light. Shine it so bright the whole world has to look."

The Target Alchemist and the Somatic Healing of a "Sun Song"

Today is dreary. I haven't been sleeping, the sky has been gray for days, and I’m feeling that heavy, "blah" energy in my bones. When the world feels this dark, I turn to my Soundtrack of the Soul as a form of somatic healing. Today, that song is "Lovely Day" by Bill Withers. It’s a "sun song"—it’s warm, yellow, and it feels like a physical embrace.

It reminds me of a man who works at my local Target. He has the sunniest demeanor I have ever witnessed. I walked up to his checkout line on a day when I was drowning in exhaustion and tears. The moment we made eye contact, it was a literal physical shift.

It is called co-regulation. Now, I am not a psychologist, but I know how somatic healing works in real-time when a nervous system overflowing with light and peace reaches out and pulls yours back to center. He didn't just scan my items; he transmuted my mood. The world needs more of these beautiful souls who understand that visibility is a form of healing.

The First-Grade Justice

When I see someone being mistreated, my throat starts to close. It’s a physical ache, a remnant of being a shy kid who didn't really know how to stand up for herself. I still remember the sting of first grade—being falsely accused of talking when I wasn't, watching the teacher write my name on the board while my heart broke at the unfairness.

To a five-year-old, this was such a big deal. It wasn't just a mark on a board; it was a world-shattering injustice. Decades later, when I stood my ground in that hotel restroom for the woman with the mop, my Throat Chakra opened up majorly. Every time we speak up for the "invisible" ones, we are practicing deep inner work, and healing that little girl who was silenced in the classroom. There is an immense Abundance of power in letting that truth out.

The Legacy of the Coffee Pot

My mother understood this instinctively. She practiced everyday compassion through what I call the "Coffee Ceremony." Whenever anyone was at our house—construction workers, cleaners, painters—she didn't see "laborers." She saw family.

She would make the coffee, serve the food, and sit with them. She offered them the dignity of being seen as a whole human being, not just a service provider. That is the true essence of Spiritual Growth: recognizing that there is no hierarchy in the soul.

The Ultimate Release: The Serenity Prayer

On this gray March day, as I navigate my own mood and the heaviness of the world, I return to the Serenity Prayer.

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can't change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

That last line—the wisdom to know the difference—is the ultimate release. It reminds me to trust the timing, to protect my light, and to remember that I am no longer the girl at the reception desk. I am the woman who sees the helpers, because I am one of them.

The Challenge for Today:

Find your "Sun Song," look the "invisible" person in the eye, and remember: No one has the power to dim a light that is fueled by the divine.

About the Author: Day 66

I am a believer in the power of the unseen, a seeker of everyday miracles, and a fierce advocate for the invisible helpers among us. My journey through Spiritual Growth & Awareness is not about bypassing the hard, dreary days; it is about finding the "sun songs" that carry us through them. From learning the profound dignity of human connection at my mother’s kitchen table, to reclaiming my own voice after years of being silenced at a corporate reception desk, my path is deeply rooted in Healing & Inner Work.

Through the lens of Somatic Healing & Nervous System awareness, I write to remind us all that we have the incredible power to co-regulate with one another, to heal the misunderstood five-year-old within us, and to shine our light so brightly that the world has no choice but to look. Using Gentle Reset Practices, like the Serenity Prayer, my mission is to help you step into a mindset of true Abundance, knowing that our greatest strength lies in our compassion for one another.

Thank you for being part of this journey toward abundance, cosmic alignment, and collective light, Dear Reader. ❤️
