Shedding the Layers: The Everyday Magic of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse March 3

Updated: 19 hours ago

A serene woman practicing somatic healing under the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse March 3. Her eyes are closed in a gentle reset, with her hands resting on her neck against a backdrop of a large, eclipsed moon and misty night sky, representing spiritual awareness, abundance, and the release of emotional weight during this powerful cosmic event.

Today, on this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse March 3, we are sitting right in the middle of a powerful cosmic gateway. There is a tremendous amount of pressure in the spiritual community to have it all together during these major events, to constantly radiate "high vibes," and to learn how to navigate these shifts from the biggest names on the brightest stages. But as we navigate this massive, collective energetic release together, I am finding that true spiritual growth doesn't happen on a pedestal.

Eclipses are cosmic illuminators, shining a light on what we are finally ready to leave behind. I am learning that this profound shedding doesn't happen in a silent meditation retreat; it happens in the grocery store aisles, in the back of a taxi cab, and in the quiet moments when we finally listen to our own bodies.

The Wisdom of the "Heck No"

During a lunar eclipse, our internal tides are pulled, and our bodies often realize what needs to be released long before our minds do. Not too long ago, we were about to head out to a dinner we had RSVP'd for a month before, and my body gave me a loud, uncompromising "heck no." It wasn't a gentle suggestion; it was a strong, emotional tornado that quickly turned into actual, physical pain. I simply couldn't do it. The emotions that poured out of me that night felt like they had been stored in my cells forever. After that storm passed, I felt like a light, entirely new person. That is the exact somatic release this eclipse is asking of us.

We have to start trusting that physical tornado. And honestly, as we shed our old habits today, we could all learn a lesson about boundaries from a toddler.

I recently took my daughter shoe shopping. Anyone who buys quality toddler shoes knows it is an investment! The salesperson brought out the absolute cutest pair of pink shoes. My daughter loves pink, but she looked at them and gave a firm, clear, "No. No. No." Then, she adamantly shook her head and wagged her finger. Wow, the dramatic reaction to the shoe!

The salesman was amazing and said, "Your daughter really knows what she wants. I'm so glad you are listening to what she chooses. So many people do not and end up back here buying new shoes." It made me realize how often we, as adults, let ourselves be talked into the "pink shoes" of life—things that look good on the outside but simply don't align with our inner truth. If a toddler can honor her "no" so fiercely, we can, too.

Grounding the Energy of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse March 3

Real-life spirituality is incredibly grounded. During an eclipse, it can look like driving to five different grocery stores just to buy healthy, organic food for your family, because the cost of living is through the roof right now. It is exhausting, yes, but it is also a deep act of love and grounding.

Or, it can look like taking your daughter on a random Monday to a playplace because she needs to run around like a toddler should and squeal with laughter. When your foggy brain and weary soul need to hear that laughter, that is the "work." It’s choosing the joy of a child over the pressure of a deadline.

Sudden Shifts and Aisle 4 Breakthroughs

Eclipses are known for clearing the path for miracles. When we were planning our wedding abroad, we hit a massive financial and logistical wall. We had booked our airfare late, we had no hotel, and everything was completely booked up. We were out of options.

Then, out of nowhere, an incredibly amazing deal at an incredible luxury hotel opened up. Food was included, and we literally got the absolute last room available. Whenever you feel like you are at a wall, remember that the universe is constantly working behind the scenes.

Sometimes, the release happens when we least expect it. Have you ever had an ugly-cry breakthrough in the middle of a supermarket? A song came on the speakers recently that reminded me of a loved one who had passed, and the tears just fell. It is okay to be human in public. It is okay to let the grief flow right next to the produce section.

Your Eclipse Permission to Cocoon

If the collective energy of this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is feeling heavy for you today, take this as your sign to retreat. After the hustle of the five stores and the emotional tornadoes, my ultimate comfort is retreating into my duvet cocoon. Give me a bowl of popcorn, some dark chocolate, or a bag of sour watermelon Smart Sweets, and let me just switch my brain off.

We are all on a path honoring our own unique journey. Honor your "no," trust yourself, your path, your unconventional teachers, and let the miracles find you exactly where you are.

Sending you lots of love and light on your journey, dear reader ❤️

About the Author | Day 62

I am on Day 62 of a 365-day journey—documenting the raw truth of what it means to grow. Today was a lesson in the radical act of the Gentle Reset, a somatic surrender to the heavy weight in my chest, and a reminder that when we stop performing "productivity," we finally create the space for the universe to speak through us.

I find my abundance in supermarket aisles and car-ride revelations, rather than on stage-managed platforms. I’ve made the conscious choice to step away from the "big names" and the celebrity spirituality that stays quiet when the world needs truth. My growth is fueled by the miracles that stitched my wedding together when the math didn't add up, and the laughter of my daughter that cuts through a to-do list longer than a CVS receipt.

I believe we owe it to the next generation—to our daughters—to stop performing and start being. Whether I’m retreating into my duvet cocoon or finding flow in the intense energy of this lunar eclipse, I am here to help you hear your own frequency and stay authentic.

Thank you for being part of this journey toward abundance, cosmic alignment, and collective light, Dear Reader. ❤️
